KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

 

directing

  • Directed the multi-camera portion of episode 1 of Farming For Love (reality show).

  • Directed Ted Talks, including big-screens and musical performances, culminating in a successful edit for online and Netflix audiences

  • Directed / Switched: Invictus Games Daily Show. An interview & highlights show for an international audience.

  • Directed Corus’s Bachelorette After Show. A live talk show that aired after the Bachelorette.

  • Planned and directed live Remembrance Day Ceremonies from remote, for both CTV and Host Broadcast clients, including site surveys.

  • Initiated the Ross Overdrive automation system on CTV’s 3.5 hour morning show, including coding, and troubleshooting ease of shooting interviews, cooking, music etc. The result was a smooth transition from manual to automation without losing creativity.

  • Formatted & directed CTV Morning Live’s 150 anniversary show which included the challenge of shooting in front of a live audience with robotic cameras.

PRODUCER / ASSISTANT DIRECTOR/ ASSOCIATE PRODUCER

  • Produced the ‘rolling content’ feed at the 2022 & 2023 World Athletics champions in Oregon & Budapest for ITN.

  • Produced CTV Vancouver’s Noon News on a fill-in basis for a limited time. Included supervision of writers.

  • Multi-tasked as an Associate Producer/Producer for World Curling Federation Television since 2014, including travel to China, Japan, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, South Korea, Netherlands & the U.S.

  • AD, Beach Volleyball, Paralympic athletics & Para Open/Closing Ceremonies for OBS/ISB, Paris 2024 Olympics.

  • AD, Beach Volleyball & Ceremonies for OBS, Beijing 2022 Olympics.

  • AD’ed various music specials that involved calling fast consecutive shots for the director. Including: 2024 Paralympics Opening/Closing Ceremonies, concerts, television specials & Grey Cup half time shows.

  • AD, World Nordic Jrs for host, including extensive preparation and liaising with cameras/graphics for coverage of interval starts.

  • Helped develop and AD’ed the Prime Time Show with CTV’s Consortium for Vancouver & London Olympics, including testing new rundown software and helping put together a Director’s Guide.

GRAPHICS

 

  • Operated On-Air Graphics at 5 Olympic games, 1 Pan Am Games & 1 Asian Games. Successfully adapted to a unique Olympic graphics platform while dealing with the pressure of a high profile event.

  • Operated Duet and bug for Sportsnet and TSN on various sports, including NHL on a regular basis.
